To better align with DPI’s Invite form, the Parental Rights section of the I-1 and I-1S Invites has been updated. A new validation is now required for the Parental Rights question on the form to ensure compliance.
You can compare the SEEDS form with the DPI form by clicking here.
I-3P for Transfer Students
When using a Review/Revise Event for a transfer student, it can be confusing to determine which form to use to create progress.
If the student is coming from a SEEDS district and a completed I-3 form is included in the event, you can use an I-3P.
If you are uploading the student’s previous IEP because they are not coming from a SEEDS district, you must use an I-3-S9, which is the Progress Report Addendum. This form allows you to enter the goals from the previous IEP so you can report progress on those goals.
Want to learn more about the I-3P and the I-3-S9, join us at the webinar on October 13th. See Upcoming Webinars and SIPS below. ⬇️
TIP
Be sure to create the I-3ARBEFORE the I-3P in a typical event, such as an Annual.
The I-3AR pulls goal data from the most recent I-3P. To help ensure the forms are created in the correct order, consider making the I-3P creation part of the final task with the DC or completing it before the event is locked.

December Snapshot
Third Friday and October 1st Count
We receive a lot of questions around October 1st and we want to help clarify where data comes from, how it gets there, and when it needs to be ready.
Snapshot data is not pulled until Tuesday, December 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Snapshot data is pulled from your SIS (Infinite Campus, Skyward, Qmlativ, PowerSchool, etc)
Snapshot data for special ed is created in SEEDS as a SEPA record. It is sent to WISE, where it is then pulled back to your SIS.
Your first priority right now is making sure that SEEDS is set up to push data to WISE. Here is a Help Center article about how to set this up in SEEDS.
If you are still unsure about what needs to be done for the Snapshot or when these counts are needed, please reference the DPI page. It has a lot of great information to help you verify what data is needed and when.
Check Out IEP4Schools (SEEDS) and ADA4Schools (ADAPT)
If you receive this newsletter, you already know about SEEDS. However, you may have friends or colleagues in other districts who would like to learn why 1/3 of Wisconsin districts use SEEDS. Invite them to join us and encourage them to bring along their district decision-makers!
One of the most commonly used reports in ADAPT is the Accommodation Report. It is important to know that this report is created by form year, unlike similar reports in SEEDS.
When running this report at the beginning of the school year, select the previous school year to capture all currently active accommodations.
If you are running the report at any other time of year, you may need to run it for both the current and previous school years to capture all active accommodations.
We are still looking for a few more people to participate in our Advisory Group this year. This group helps our team make decisions regarding form changes and system updates, giving you an opportunity to have a direct voice in the future of SEEDS.
Our first meeting will be Monday, November 2.
If you have questions about what participation involves, please send an email to the Support Center. We would be happy to share more information!
If you know you would like to join, please complete the registration form.
