The SEEDS team has been busy this summer preparing forms and making updates for the 2026–2027 school year. Here’s a look at the changes you’ll see in SEEDS:
Updated Forms
I-1 - Invite/ I-2 Cover Page
Meeting purposes have been updated to align with DPI’s sample forms.

Progress Report Updates
Changes to Support Compliance.
The I-3, I-3P, and new I-3-AR are now all part of the complete review of goals required by DPI.
This change gives districts greater control over progress reporting while also helping ensure compliance by making the annual review of goals part of the same event as the new IEP.

The start of a new school year brings plenty of tasks to keep track of. A good checklist can help make sure nothing gets missed!
The IEP4Schools Help Center has a helpful article outlining the tasks that should be completed in SEEDS following the July 15 rollover. Even better, it includes a checklist that you can copy and customize to fit your district’s needs.
Let SEEDS help you start the year on the right foot! Take a few minutes to review the checklist and make sure your district is ready for a successful school year.
You may have noticed that the Label Reports are no longer available in SEEDS. Instead, we recommend using the Avery Label website or another label-making tool to create your parent mailing labels.
The Export of Student Data Report in SEEDS can help you pull the information you need, such as student and parent addresses, to import into your label-making tool.
💡Admin Tip: If you’re creating labels at the district level, consider making an extra set for teachers. Having labels ready to go can make parent mailings throughout the school year a little easier!
Did you know that when you email a form directly from SEEDS, the recipient receives a hyperlink rather than a PDF?
This means the recipient will always see the most recent version of the form when they access the link. For example, if you email a form as a draft on May 1 and then Save to Final on May 15, the link will display the finalized version as of May 15.
Using a hyperlink also helps protect student data because the link automatically becomes inactive after 60 days. At the same time, it gives parents access to the most up-to-date version of the form throughout that 60-day period.
💡Tip: When sending forms, be sure to choose the format — hyperlink or PDF — that best meets the needs of your specific situation.
Have you ever added a new student to a class list or updated a staff member’s student access, only to find that the student still doesn’t appear?
Sometimes, your browser just needs a little help catching up! If you know you should have access to a student but don’t see them, try a hard refresh of your browser:
📩Support Tip: If you’re submitting the ticket on behalf of someone else, be sure to include the staff member who is experiencing the issue in the email. This helps our support team work together more efficiently to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
