Saving Your Work
The SEEDS team has been gathering feedback from districts about the saving features within forms, and based on what we’ve heard, we want to highlight the different ways SEEDS helps protect your work while you’re entering data.
Saving While Working
SEEDS includes a built-in feature that save your data as you work. For forms with tabbed sections—such as the A-6, I-3, and DC—your information is automatically saved as you move between tabs.
For extra peace of mind, you can also manually use the Save in Progress button. This is especially helpful when entering large amounts of text or working in areas with less reliable internet connections.
To fully exit the form, we still recommend using Save as Draft or Save as Final.
Save and Exit Form
Most users are familiar with the Save as Draft and Save as Final options. Both will save your information and exit you from the form.
One important thing to remember: when using Save as Final, all validations must be met. If you’re unable to clear validations, be sure to use Save as Draft so your work is saved and you can exit the form safely.
Restore Last Draft
If data is lost due to unexpected circumstances, the Restore Last Draft button (found in the toolbar of your text boxes) can be a lifesaver. This feature saves information locally on your computer as you type, allowing you to recover recent entries when needed.
