This month's newsletter is focusing on technology tips. We realize our users are amazing at working with families and students, and technology may not be high on the list of priorities. These tips can be helpful for SEEDS, but can also help with technology hiccups for other web-based programs.
Tech Tip #1 - Stuck Screen
Sometimes after a system update, your computer may rely on cached data that interferes with the update taking effect. When this happens, you might see a blank screen or a “spinning” icon that never resolves.
Before submitting a help ticket, try the following quick fixes:
- Perform a hard refresh. Ctrl+Shift+R (PC) or Command+Shift=R (Mac)
- Clear your browser history/cache.
If the issue continues, try these additional options:
- Try opening SEEDS in another browser.
- Open the system in an incognito/private window.
- Test the system on another computer.
- Check with colleagues to see if they're experiencing the same issue.
These steps may not fully resolve the problem, but they provide valuable information for the Help Center and may help you find a temporary workaround until the issue is fixed.
