WISE PaSS Is Here! 

Introducing WISE PaSS

WISE PaSS is a new, free feature that allows districts to easily compare student and parent data in SEEDS with the data shared to WISE. This side-by-side comparison helps identify discrepancies and empowers users with System Administrator permissions to make updates quickly—often with just a single click. 

Now in Beta

We’re currently partnering with a group of districts for beta testing and would like to extend our thanks for their support:

Feature Focus

Creating Labels without the Labels Report

Printing labels and envelopes has been a long-standing feature in SEEDS. While it has served districts well over the years, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain.

As part of our commitment to making things easier for our users, we recommend a more streamlined approach—using the Export of Student Data report in combination with modern label-creation tools. This method not only simplifies the process but also produces the polished results you expect.

Just as SEEDS is focused on IEP processes and compliance, there are tools specifically designed to make label creation easy. Many of these options offer free accounts and user-friendly experiences that may quickly become your preferred method.

Our new Help Center article walks you through the process step by step and includes a video demonstration to get you started.

Why Pictures Can Be a Problem

We’ve all seen it—the dreaded broken image icon. In SEEDS, this can be more than just a visual issue; it can prevent you from printing a form altogether.

To avoid this, we strongly recommend not pasting images directly into text fields. If the source of an image is moved, deleted, or changed, the image may no longer render—resulting in that broken icon and potential printing issues.

Instead, we recommend summarizing the information from the image within your legal form and using the U-Form to upload any supporting visuals separately. This ensures that even if an image becomes unavailable, the critical information in your form remains intact and accessible.

User Connection

User Group: Focus on Forms

Our final user group of the year will focus on updates to forms for the 2026–27 school year—and we want your input. Your feedback plays a key role in every system improvement we make, so this is your opportunity to share your voice.

If you’ve already registered for a user group, you’ll automatically receive an invitation. If you don’t regularly work with forms, feel free to pass this along to someone in your district who does. New to user groups but interested in contributing? You can register through the Help Center.

• I-1 Invite
• A-3 and A-4 Notices
• A6-SLD – SLD Criteria
• A6-SL – SL Criteria

While there are no required compliance changes this year, our goal is to make these forms even easier to use for 2026–27.
